Today was a great day of eating some really yummy food and I really enjoyed the start of my journey. Read more about the Experiment here first….
The key thing I did in preparation for the programme was work on what I could eat and create a full fridge of these foods. I also created a lot of recipe ideas and made sure to prepare a meal plan per day of my options. The other key thing in this plan is a cheat day, a day where you can eat anything you want so it is easier to stay focused on the days you are on plan and you feel like you can sustain it if it is only for 6 days at a time.
So, after I had a spoonful of almond butter when I first work up, doing my 20 minutes of kettle bell and body weight exercises especially for fat loss and shredding of my core fat, I then ate a large breakfast. This only took 10 minutes to prepare. A lot of eating but I wasn’t hungry until 12.30pm.
Breakfast at 8am
I really enjoyed it but found it a lot of eating that early in the morning.
I love artichoke and I just forget how yummy it is. It is also the vegetable with the most amount of antioxidants and protein and tastes awesome in a salad. I added sprouts and had some avocado and cottage cheese. Spinach, tomatoes, chick peas (the protein) with a dressing and serve with some avocado and cottage cheese. No bread, pasta, rice…
I did want to eat a hot meal but I was in a hurry as was out at a Juice Plus+ training tonight so this salad had to do and it was one of the nicest salads I have ever eaten. Puy lentils, red onion, spinach leaves, tomatoes and a little feta cheese (I know it’s white but I wanted a little something and feta is a goat’s cheese.)
Other than this I had a green tea in the morning and a earl grey tea with almond milk around 3.30pm. I also took my Juice Plus Premium in the morning with a Vitamin D supplement, a spoonful of Flaxseed oil, a pro biotic and I took a glass of Kombucha at 6pm.
Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
