Day 2 and my overall state about the experiment is good. I am enjoying eating, which is good but am finding the mornings hard as I just have got so much to do in the morning to make it out the door!
My energy is good, no hunger at all, though I’ve had some cravings.
And the one other thing to note is that I do not feel bloated or crampy in any way- which is how I can feel if there is any gluten or wheat in things.
So, here was today’s activities:
Exercise: No exercise today as exercised on Sunday and Monday but will do 20 minutes tomorrow morning
Breakfast this morning at 7.40am was spoonful of almond butter plus a green smoothie of spinach, avocado, lime and chia seeds and my Juice Plus Complete which has 13g of protein. Just couldn’t face all that eating so early and had to rush to fit in exercise and making breakfast to make it out the door! I also drank my usual hot water with lemon which I have every morning and took my Juice Plus Premium capsules, my Vitamin D and my probiotic.
Lunch at 1pm was the salad I had for dinner the previous night as it was the best thing I had ever tasted so I was really looking forward to it and can now make it in 5 minutes. The key to this plan is to eat the same things over and over again and just rotate the dishes you like to eat- sure that is what we do all the time anyway!
Dinner at 6pm (and with a Joshy version) I had a full on cooking experiment making bean burgers with a few too many substitutions from the original recipe which wasn’t on plan and an over eager processor moment so the consistency was a bit weird but the flavour was awesome and I stuffed my little face on them! They had kidney beans, cannelloni beans, chilli, quinoa, chopped almonds and a little feta plus some coriander, red onion and garlic. Serve with cottage cheese, avocado and a little spinach tomato and sprout salad with dressing. Next time I would not make them so mushy but the taste was awesome! Josh liked them too though preferred to eat his avocado and then most of mine!
I also drank 4 pints of water and had a cuppa earl grey tea with almond milk around 8pm.
Day 2 has been a great success and looking forward to getting over the hump day- Day 3 and a Wednesday!
