If you don’t already know, I’m a big fan of the kettlebell for working out with.
And I have to tell you to look at me, you wouldn’t know. Now I don’t know what you know about kettlebells but you probably think they are heavy weights and heavy weights are for ‘muscle head’ men in the gym.
Well, I guess that’s how it started. The Russians invented them for training their army! And they probably created a good few muscle heads with them!
Why I love them is to do with muscle but not in that way.
You see, I am all about maximum results with minimum effort. Kinda a lazy healthy and fit person… you may have heard me say this before. But really I like to think I’m smart. I’ve researched the best short cuts (or solutions) to achieve good health and a body and lifestyle I love. This doesn’t involve spending hours in the kitchen or gym.
And so we are back with the kettlebell.
These fun little cannon ball shaped bullets are awesome for fat burning, building strength and getting lean and helping mummies to feel strong for every day movements.
Since really working with these little guys since last September consistently, I was able for the first time in a recent flight to London lift my 15kg suitcase above my head to place in an overhead locker on the plane. No mean feat for a 5ft 1 inch pixie girl.
And just as importantly I was able to see true definition in my core area including my lower back, reverse hip pain from years of running and round out my bootie to accentuate my curves.
I am not telling you this to brag but to let you know that if a ‘wee mama’ like me from 10lbs over weight with no upper body strength and constant lower back and hip pain can transform herself into feeling like an empowered warrior goddess, then so can you.
And so, I introduce you to the kettlebell swing and the kettlebell swing challenge. This is really the kettlebell for beginners.
Watch the video below and make sure to comment on whether you will be up for the kettlebell swing challenge at home.
What do you think about the kettlebell? About weights for women? Be sure to comment below and share this video with mummies you think would help.
Thank you for reading and now watching.
